SilverBow is an independent oil and natural gas company, located in Houston, TX, and listed on the NYSE under the ticker “SBOW.” We develop, explore, acquire, and operate oil and gas properties, primarily in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk in South Texas.
SilverBow is in search of a Senior HR Representative to provide support and day to day administration of policies and programs, has advanced knowledge in Compensation, Benefits and Payroll, and continuously improves processes and offers suggestions to the HR team. This position will continuously evaluate compensation & benefits practices and make adjustments as needed. To be successful in this position, we are looking for a self-starter who wants to work as a member of a busy team, is interested in learning new skills, and is flexible and adaptable as priorities change.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation:
- Ensure compensation strategy meets the needs of the organization.
- Analyze, evaluate, and define occupations or positions based on duties, responsibilities, and qualification requirements in order to establish or maintain a framework for equitable compensation.
- Provide guidance and facilitate salary review, bonus and LTI processes. Coordinate and complete annual compensation and benefits surveys.
- Bring market data and bring new resources to HR team.
- Provide compensation data for internal job requisitions.
Benefits:
- Ensure selection, design and administration of benefits meets organizational needs.
- Bring market data on benefits, organization and new benefit resources and considerations to the HR team.
- Process transactional changes in internal systems and benefit vendors.
Payroll:
- Responsible for the accurate preparation and disbursement of the organization’s payroll and payroll funding.
- Participate in payroll audits.
- Production of regular payroll reports for managers and financial accounting.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefit questions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Produce Oracle reports on scheduled or requested basis from HR module or Discoverer tool.
- Production of other requested reports relating to HR data and information.
- Supports Oracle and ADP databases with accurate and current employee information.
- Supports HR Supervisor as a backup resource with all Oracle users.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10 yrs. + experience in compensation, benefits, and Human Resource discipline(s).
- Commanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.
- Advanced analytical skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Advanced problem-solving and project management skills.
