As an HR Coordinator, you will support various assigned human resources programs and initiatives and provide administrative support throughout all areas of the HR department. You will have the opportunity to work on compliance, training, diversity, leave of absence, background checks, and other HR-related projects. You will also interact with internal and external stakeholders and respond to their requests and inquiries.

- Research, gather data, and track compliance with employment law updates, required notices, wage and hour, training, etc.
- Suggest training opportunities for employees and managers that will help alleviate risk.
- Prepare compliance reports for outside agencies, i.e. ACA, ESG, EEOC, etc.
- Support the internal company’s Leave of Absence process.
- Prepare employee diversity reports, as needed utilizing HRIS.
- Assist in updating the company Employee Handbook.
- Track the weekly employee count.
- Manage Cordoba’s EDD account for the state of California unemployment claims and other states.
- Process and manage background checks.
- Process pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects such as new employment law regulations research.
- Respond to internal and external HR-related requests and provide assistance.
- Support other functions as assigned.
- Attend safety meetings and provide actionable insights as needed on behalf of Human Resources.
- Maintain records of personnel-related data and uploading documents into the company’s HRIS as requested.
- This is a hybrid work environment.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Previous experience in Human Resources as HR Assistant or similar role
- Understanding of human resource principles, procedures, and best practices
- Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. UKG)
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field
- One-Three years of related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
