JOB SUMMARY
This role is primarily responsible for managing and driving Workday optimization as well as creating new functionality for the GMR family of companies. You will work to continuously provide support for the Workday system and its users by performing data validation activities, assisting with payroll processing, researching issues/unexpected results and/or process flaws, and recommending solutions or alternate processing methods.
This position is crucial to our ability to automate and improve business processes and workflows to maximize efficiency and improve the end user experience. The ideal candidate will be experienced with payroll and HRIS, possessing a keen eye for detail, functional HR knowledge and experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This individual contributor position will work closely with the HR, Payroll, Finance and IT teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Serve as a Sr HRIS Analyst supporting designated HCM areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits, Talent, Advanced Compensation, etc.,
- Provide consultation to HR Business Partners and HR COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis
- Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities
- Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday
- Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday
- Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events
- Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 and 3 issues
- Provide input and knowledge sharing with HRIS team members, workstream business partners, and users as appropriate
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of Workday HCM experience - Workday Certification a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong functional and technical experience in two or more of the following modules within the Workday HCM Suite: HCM Core, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, Talent & Performance
- The ability to translate business objectives and unmet needs into a clear vision and roadmap, with requirements, then support the execution of that vision.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to take ownership on projects and follow through to completion
- Ability to balance multiple daily tasks and long-term strategic projects
- Data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel Detail oriented with strong analytical and structured problem solving skills
- Good understanding of HR practices, reporting needs and data analysis
- Knowledge and understanding of HR functional areas
- Discretion in dealing with confidential data and sensitive situation
