OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Human Resources (HR) Consulting Director to lead GitHub’s global HR Consulting team. GitHub’s HR Consulting team provides comprehensive, expert consulting services to leaders, managers and employees on HR programs, processes, and initiatives.
Our Senior HR Consulting Director will be responsible for managing a team of HR consultants as well as designing, delivering and innovating HR programs across GitHub alongside key stakeholders and partners. In this role, you will drive the continued evolution of GitHub’s HR Consulting function and influence the future direction of HR work by synthesizing insights and contributing perspectives, expertise, and leadership.
ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & HR Solutions Consulting
- Lead and manage the global HR Consulting team through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching and caring
- Direct the diagnostics and resolution of complex employee relations issues, collaborating with managers, Legal and cross-functional HR partners as appropriate
- Lead data analysis and organizational health diagnostics; interpret trends in employee relations issues and design interventions
HR Projects & Programs
- Partner with Centers of Excellence on designing, implementing, and continually refining scalable HR programs and processes (e.g., Rhythm of Business, performance and development cycle, management excellence communities, etc.)
- Strategically partner with functional HR teams as well as Communications, Legal, and other stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
- Create, integrate, and guide communication strategies in order to drive effective change management
Capability Building, Operational Compliance, & Queue Management
- Build manager capability by conducting one-on-one consulting/coaching with business leaders, identifying training needs and developing action plans
- Oversee team partnerships with senior leaders in Corporate Governance, Work Councils, International Labor Relations, and Employee Representative Groups (ERGs) to ensure compliance with relevant international and national employment law
- In partnership with peer disciplines, manage inbound queries from queue management system and partner with HR Services to continuously improve processes and tools
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- 15+ years of work experience in Human Resources, Business programs/processes, or related field programs/processes, or related field
- OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field AND 12+ years of work experience in Human Resources, Business
- OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Employee Relations experience
- 3+ years of people management experience
- 3+ years of experience designing, program managing, implementing, and refining scalable HR programs
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of international HR experience
- History of working within global, technical organizations as a consultative HR leader
- Demonstrated success in problem-solving and the ability to be agile through change
Compensation RangeUSD $122,500.00 - USD $325,000.00 /Yr.
In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
