This role will own the process of pre-boarding and onboarding new team members in North America, support general talent acquisition initiatives, as well as partner with the HR team to provide HR and employee relations support.
ResponsibilitiesPre-Boarding:
• Responsible for all pre-employment activities for teammates in N. America including initiating background checks and drug screens, monitoring progress, assisting and providing updates to all involved parties
• Manage relationship with pre-boarding vendors
• Proactively and independently resolve new hire issues with candidates and hiring managers, prior to target start date
• Partner with candidates, recruiters, hiring managers and HR to continuously improve and refine the candidate experience and pre-boarding processes
• Serve as the subject matter expert to TA team members globally in support of systems and process knowledge for pre-boarding
Onboarding:
• Manage new hire orientation meetings and programs; ensure all new hires are scheduled for all required orientation programs
• Lead an effective feedback process to understand the new hire experience; share feedback and implement changes / solutions
• Proactively promote continuous improvement of onboarding programs and processes
Employee Relations:
• Support and / or conduct internal investigations
• Support employee relations issues
• Support audits related to HR and HR data / reporting
Other:
• Lead the administration, reporting and communication of the Teammate Referral Program, helping to drive awareness and program engagement and success.
• Partner with HRIS Team to optimize process flows and reporting, and to ensure candidate and new hire data is effectively processed and managed
• Provide weekly / monthly / quarterly reporting for Talent Acquisition and Talent Development initiatives
• Support additional Talent and HR initiatives as needed
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree, required
- 5+ years’ experience in an HR support role, including pre-boarding / onboarding and employee relations experience, required
- Self-motivated to work independently in a busy environment with changing priorities and the ability to adapt quickly
- High-level of ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, and meet deadlines and goals
- Experience using ATS systems and HR systems (preferably iCIMS and UKG)
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of focus on quality results/deliverables
- Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Demonstrates strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take the initiative, and showcase curiosity
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness. This role will interface with all levels of leadership and candidates
- Experience with UKG and iCIMS, highly preferred
- Experience managing data requiring discretion and confidentiality
