As an Human Resources Assistant, you will provide administrative and human resources support to ensure exceptionally high customer service across the organization. In addition, you will support administration, coordination, and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
- Respond to employee questions via our ticketing system (Zendesk), assist with resolution, and process personnel change requests.
- Create, maintain and organize employee files and conduct data entry into Karsun’s HR database (ADP WFN).
- Assist with special projects on an ad hoc basis.
- Respond to requests for employment verifications.
- Process new hire background checks and serve as a candidate point of contact to assist with questions; ensure completed investigations are stored per company policy.
- Monitor pre-onboarding employee form completion
- Onboard corporate/infrastructure employees
- Schedule, coordinate and conduct new employee orientations as well as process new hire paperwork/data entry.
- Use iCIMS to update onboarding and offboarding workflows and employee records
- Post required labor law information.
- Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Maintain and order supplies/employee morale gifts for the human resources department as needed.
- Manage the employee referral process.
- Assist with Talent Acquisition (TA) event coordination.
- Monitor/Manage the TA inbox.
- As needed, pick up mail and help distribute to responsible individual(s).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and one to two years related experience.
- Basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated comfort presenting to various sized groups.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Candidates must be located in the DC Metro area with the ability to work onsite in our Herndon, VA headquarters; average 2-3 days per week.
- Acute attention to detail.
- MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Experience with applicant tracking systems; iCIMS highly preferred.
- Experience processing background checks; Verified Credentials experience highly preferred.
- Experience with trouble ticketing systems; Zendesk highly preferred
- Experience conducting new hire orientation
In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $45,500 to $58,500. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
