The HRIS Programmer/Analyst will perform varied and complex tasks associated with the support and maintenance of the Company’s HR related systems. This position serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, and managing all vendor interfaces. The HRIS Programmer/Analyst also supports UKG Pro upgrades, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesInterface Management
- Support new systems integrating with UKG - Build all vendor interfaces including all web service accounts, RaaS reports, XML stored procedures to web import tool, SFTP, and API integrations. Document all processes to maintain the file and data being transmitted. Develop plan for monitoring data integrity.
- Serve as the lead to troubleshoot all interface errors with employee records. Investigate the cause, pull test files, work with UKG or Partners and the vendor to make the corrections. Investigate the sql prior to initiating outreach to identify the error and provide a solution to begin the iterative testing process.
- Interface Documentation - Assist in creating a master data flow document outlining all data fields that pass on interfaces to outlying systems. From this, identify critical fields with system impacts.
Auditing & Advanced Reporting
- Advanced Level Reporting - Build and support reports in all programs, BI Cognos Analytics, HRSD Looker, Dimensions, and any future reporting endeavors. Build and maintain a Manager Self Service reporting page. Ability to extract data from multiple systems and data sources via python and transform into excel versions.
- Audit Reports - Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing data, and coordinating issue resolution and process improvements. Prepare reports and present findings to HCM Director and other company leaders. Import corrections upon approval. Be prepared to offer solutions to identify process improvements and automations to maximize value and efficiency of HRIS. Develop SOPs for all audit processes.
- Current projects include Job Code filtering, FLSA cleanup, CC org level 2 automation, value rules, BI Optimization located within UKG (reports for CC payroll/accounting)
System Optimization & Support
- UKG New Releases - Assist in the review, testing and implementation of UKG Pro system releases. Collaborate with departmental leads to coordinate application rollout of new release. Prepare presentations of new functionality to present with options for implementation. Assess any downstream impacts they may have to other applications.
- System Optimization – Work with HCM team to optimize the UKG Pro system and data flow to external systems. Work could include utilizing platform configuration to customize the HCM, auditing all current processes established in UKG Pro and making necessary corrections. Document processes and results. Create training materials to introduce new or unused features.
- Production Support – Assist HCM team in Providing support for UKG Pro including, but not limited to, researching and resolving UKG Pro employee errors, unexpected results or process flaws.
Qualifications- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, MS Excel and PowerBI is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Interface management including setup and maintenance of SFTP’s, API’s and RaaS Reports.
- Minimum 3 years UKG Pro and Cognos experience is required.
- A minimum of 7 years progressive HRIS experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an HR Analysis role.
- Systems implementation experience is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and related data.
- Strong understanding of HCM database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- SHRM-CP or SCP, PHR/SPHR certification is desirable.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking, time management, logical problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail is required.
